According to the Monroe Police, speeding was a likely cause of the fatal crash. The collision happened around 3 p.m. at the busy intersection of East Franklin Street and Morgan Mill Road. Emergency responders arrived to find the vehicle engulfed in flames. Both Wilson Broadway Jr. and his child were pronounced deceased at the scene.
