Brian Janssen dies in fatal North Platte accident
Fatal North Platte accident death of Brian Janssen
Law enforcement agencies in North Platte are conducting an in-depth examination into the tragic passing of a man, who succumbed to injuries sustained during a professional task involving a concrete delivery vehicle over the recent weekend period.
Emergency responders were sent to the Paulsen Inc. Ready Mix plant, located on Newberry Road adjacent to the I-80 thoroughfare, on Saturday at approximately 1:20 p.m., where they discovered an individual who had passed away within the cylindrical compartment of a cement mixing apparatus.
When the responding officers arrived at the scene, they confirmed that the deceased was identified as Brian Janssen, who was 52 years of age. Early analysis points to Mr. Janssen being occupied with routine upkeep assignments on the cement truck, with a job-related mishap occurring at the moment.
The specialized investigation team from the North Platte Police’s Criminal Investigation Division carried out a comprehensive probe and ultimately determined that Mr. Janssen’s untimely demise was an unintended outcome and was directly linked to the maintenance functions he was undertaking.
Additionally, Brian Janssen was earlier confronted with legal proceedings in the Lincoln County District Court concerning two allegations of possessing minors engaged in pornographic acts. In April of this year, he formally contested his innocence in relation to these charges, and there was a scheduled court session on July 14. However, the ongoing case was subsequently dropped on Monday, as his death disqualified it from further legal action.
