Fatal Orange County car crash death of Jesse A. Powell
Based on reports from the Virginia State Police, two people from Orange County, Virginia, have tragically lost their lives in a serious off-road vehicle incident.
The deadly occurrence happened roughly at 10:40 p.m. at the junction of Tower Road and Col. Drake Lane, according to the authorities.
Investigators stated that a 2024 Yamaha Wolverine Side-by-Side, moving north on Tower Road, failed to complete a turn and departed from the road, subsequently hitting a tree and flipping over.
The person driving the vehicle was Jesse A. Powell, aged 33, from Orange, and his passenger was Kelton T. Carter, aged 25, from Locust Grove. Both individuals succumbed to their injuries immediately at the accident site.
It has been noted that neither Powell nor Carter was equipped with a seat belt during the crash.
The Virginia State Police are continuing their examination of the events leading up to the collision to determine what went wrong.
