Fatal Na-Au-Say Township car crash death of Violet Jensen
A 20-year-old woman from Oswego tragically lost her life in a collision that took place at the junction of Grove Road and Illinois Route 126 in the unincorporated area of Na-Au-Say Township on Tuesday, July 1. The incident was attributed to her failure to stop at the intersection, which resulted in her car being impacted by another vehicle.
Investigators from the Kendall County Coroner’s Office and Illinois State Police Troop 3 concluded that the cause of death was multiple injuries caused by blunt force trauma from the motor vehicle accident. The police unit from Troop 3 arrived at the scene around 4:38 p.m. on that day. According to their official report, Violet was driving a Kia Spectra and ignored the required stop signal at the crossing with IL Route 126. The Chevrolet Impala driver, moving west on the route, collided with her car, as stated in the troopers’ release.
The intersection was temporarily shut down for about four hours, from approximately 5:06 p.m. to 9:07 p.m., to allow for the necessary investigation and evidence collection.
