Emergency medical services personnel provided initial care to the individual, identified as 26-year-old Mario Martinez Ramirez-Hernandez, who was transported to a medical institution but unfortunately did not survive.
According to police records, the fatal wound resulted from firearm-related injuries discovered at approximately 11:20 p.m. on Bloomington Avenue. The Minneapolis Police Department is currently examining the evidence at the crime location, which suggests multiple shots were discharged. Authorities are urging anyone with potential information regarding the incident to report it, emphasizing that even seemingly insignificant details could be crucial.
Separate investigations are underway in St. Paul across the Mississippi River, where three individuals sustained injuries from two distinct shooting events during the overnight hours.
Further investigation revealed three additional shooting incidents occurring in Minneapolis on Saturday morning. The initial reported event happened around 2:30 a.m. on Lake Street West, resulting in two people being taken to different medical facilities. One victim faced critical health issues, while the other was expected to recover.
Approximately one hour later, surveillance footage captured a male individual discharging a weapon on Fourth Street North. Subsequently, another man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound was transported to Hennepin Healthcare.
A third shooting incident was reported at 8:30 a.m. on Colfax Avenue North. Police stated this event was related to an altercation, and the alleged suspect had already departed the scene before law enforcement arrival. No individuals have been arrested in connection with any of these incidents.
