The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is examining a fatal shooting incident that occurred at an apartment complex in northeast Harris County on Monday afternoon. Deputies were dispatched to the scene around 5:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found Michael Ford, a 43-year-old maintenance worker employed at the complex, deceased with multiple gunshot wounds. The suspected shooter, a 34-year-old male occupant of the same complex, was apprehended at the location. According to the suspect, he fired shots in self-defense after being pushed against a wall by Ford following an altercation between the two men. The ongoing investigation will be reviewed by a Harris County grand jury.
