Fatal Ruidoso flood death of Benjamin Timothy Feagin
The family and friends of Benjamin Timothy Feagin have officially identified the man who lost his life during the recent Ruidoso floods. Feagin was one of three people who tragically perished when flash floods swept through the area.
Ruidoso authorities confirmed the deaths of two children and a man following the July 9th disaster. While the children’s identities have been released by their family, the specific identities of the victims initially remained with the authorities.
Despite police not releasing an official statement, the community came together to help identify the deceased man. Through a GoFundMe page created for the family, friends confirmed that Benjamin Feagin was staying at the same recreational vehicle park as the Trotter family who also lost their lives.
The fundraiser’s details revealed that Feagin was a resident of the park when the floods began. His family, including his son Timmy, expressed their grief over the tragic loss.
According to the GoFundMe information, Feagin’s wife and son went to investigate after being informed the man was missing. It was later confirmed by authorities that Feagin’s body was among the fatalities discovered at the park.
The fundraiser also shared that Feagin had recently purchased land in Ruidoso with plans to build a home there with his family. The tragic flood incident has left a community in mourning.
