The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the man killed during a shooting incident at a senior living community located in Old Louisville. Officials state that Dwight Butler, who was 60 years of age, was fatally shot on Friday afternoon.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident but have not released information regarding any potential suspects or made any arrests. Additional details surrounding the shooting are still pending.
Mr. Butler was discovered inside his apartment at the Hillebrand House facility located on South 3rd Street. According to reports, Louisville Metro Police received calls about 2 p.m. prompting their arrival at the scene. Facility employees reportedly guided officers to the specific apartment where Butler was found. Tragically, Mr. Butler did not survive the incident and passed away at the location.
