Fatal Laurel shooting death of Michael Jordan Thompson
Prince George’s County law enforcement is examining a fatal shooting incident involving Michael Jordan Thompson, a 36-year-old Dundalk resident. The incident occurred on Thursday evening in the vicinity of a shuttered business along Laurel Bowie Road, within the unincorporated limits of Laurel.
Emergency responders discovered Thompson outside the location, where he sustained multiple gunshot injuries. Medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
A companion, also struck by gunfire during the incident, received treatment at the hospital for severe wounds.
Investigators from the Prince George’s County Police Department are currently exploring the underlying reasons for the violent confrontation.
