Fatal Berks County Car Crash Claiming Life of Pablo G. Espejo

BERKS COUNTY, Pa. – Local authorities have confirmed the identity of a man killed in a serious traffic incident in Ruscombmanor Township over the weekend.

Emergency services received a report around noon on Saturday regarding multiple vehicles involved in a collision along Blandon and Fraser Roads in the Ruscombmanor Township region.

The 41-year-old Pablo G. Espejo, who resided in Reading, was behind the wheel of a car when it met a Mack dump truck head-on. The fatality was officially recorded at approximately 2:04 p.m.

According to the official statement, the incident happened when the car was heading east and the Mack truck was heading west on Blandon Road, specifically at its intersection with Fraser Road.

It is reported that the driver’s car crossed the solid double yellow lines, entering the path of oncoming traffic, resulting in the collision with the Mack truck.

The involved car ultimately came to a stop in the middle of the road, facing north.

Meanwhile, the operator of the Mack dump truck was transported to a regional hospital for treatment, where medical staff suspect only minor injuries.
