Fatal Newtown Township car crash death of Marcellinus Madu
According to Newtown Township police, the individual killed was identified as Marcellinus Madu, a 41-year-old resident of Philadelphia. The accident happened in the early morning hours of Monday, occurring on West Chester Pike located east of Bryn Mawr Avenue. Initial reports indicated the collision involved two vehicles and transpired before the 7 a.m. mark. One of the cars was struck from the side and subsequently pushed into a pole.
The official cause and nature of Mr. Madu’s death have not yet been determined by the medical examiner’s office.
Another person involved in the collision received medical attention and was transported to Paoli Hospital.
Newtown Township police authorities along with the Delaware County CID Accident Investigation Team are currently examining the circumstances surrounding this traffic incident.
