Law enforcement agencies in Greece have detained the former spouse of a University of California, Berkeley professor in connection with the alleged setup of his murder earlier this month. According to reports, the victim was killed in an incident that unfolded outside the ex-wife’s residence.
Family members of the deceased professor expressed shock and grief, emphasizing that his death was a targeted act. Investigators revealed that the ex-wife’s current partner is being held responsible for the fatal shooting, with five shots fired as the victim attempted to visit his children.
The authorities confirmed that three additional individuals have also been arrested in relation to the case, as part of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing.
