Investigators are examining whether Zdravko Bilic, discovered lifeless in the front garden of his high-value residence, was involved in an intrusion incident prior to his lethal injury.
The 57-year-old individual, recognized as Zdravko Bilic, is the spouse of HÃœD Skin + Body founder Gry Susann Tomte.
A nearby resident stumbled upon Bilic’s body around 7:30 PM on Monday within the Warana neighborhood of the Sunshine Coast.
At the time, Tomte, who was absent, had requested the neighbor to investigate her home on Napalle Street because she hadn’t received contact from Bilic for a while.
Law enforcement is currently assessing the possibility that the assault might have transpired around 11:00 PM on Sunday, which is roughly 20 hours before the corpse was found.
“We are pursuing numerous pieces of information,” stated Detective Inspector Chris Toohey on Tuesday afternoon.
“One of the lines of inquiry involves whether he disturbed a break-in,” Toohey added.
“He was a valued member of the community … he was a community-minded person who was well-regarded in the area,” the official mentioned.
Property records indicate that the Napalle Street house in Warana, where Bilic was located, is held jointly by Bilic and Tomte. They purchased the property for $2.5 million in December 2021.
According to LinkedIn, Tomte serves as the founder and director of the skincare enterprise HÃœD Skin + Body.
The residence continues to be treated as a crime scene as homicide officers work within Operation X-ray Elting.
The public is strongly encouraged to reach out to authorities if they possess any information or captured footage from the vicinity.
“We are seeking anyone who might have relevant information or knowledge regarding this event to step forward,” Toohey emphasized.
“The timeline under consideration spans from approximately 11:00 PM on Sunday to 7:00 PM on Monday,” he clarified.
Toohey confirmed that Tomte has been in touch with the police.
“The situation is incredibly challenging for her, but the community is rallying around her and offering significant support at this critical moment,” the detective said.
