Baton Rouge authorities have confirmed the identity of the individual killed during a Tuesday evening shooting event. The fatal incident transpired along Highland Road, near its intersection with East Buchanan Street, with the occurrence happening at approximately 7:15 p.m.
The victim, Michael Anderson, who was 67 years old, sustained gunshot injuries while on the front porch of a nearby building. Medical personnel airlifted Anderson to a local hospital, where he arrived in critical condition. Regrettably, despite the medical intervention, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
