Eric Major, a 32-year-old resident of Dothan, has tragically passed away following a fatal shooting incident in Montgomery. Law enforcement officials are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the deadly event, which also left another individual injured.
Sergeant Tina McGriff of the Montgomery police force announced on Thursday that the deceased person was Eric Major. According to the initial report, officers and firefighters were sent to the East Sixth Street area at 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday due to shots being fired.
Upon their arrival, emergency responders discovered Major deceased at the scene. A second man was also located, suffering from injuries that, according to the authorities, are not considered serious and he was transported to the hospital for treatment.
McGriff has not yet disclosed any additional details regarding the incident. The Montgomery police are urging anyone who may possess information about the shooting to come forward.
