Fatal Granville car crash death of Hope R. Gonzalez
State Police have officially identified the person killed in a serious accident in Washington County earlier today as Hope R. Gonzalez from Queensbury. Police were dispatched just before the early morning hour of 8 a.m. regarding a collision on Route 149 in Granville. According to reports, an SUV involved in the incident sustained considerable damage, specifically impacting its right side, and ended up off the road.
Emergency responders, including members of the Granville Fire Department and local EMS personnel, confirmed at the scene that there were no occupants inside or nearby the damaged vehicle. Washington County Sheriff’s deputies subsequently conducted a search of the surrounding area.
By approximately 12:20 p.m., authorities located the body of the 42-year-old Hope R. Gonzalez near a heavily forested region, positioned roughly 80 feet west of where the vehicle was discovered. The ongoing crash investigation continues.
