Fatal St. Charles car crash death of Angelo Bradley
Investigators are examining a fatal collision that claimed the life of a 19-year-old motorcyclist on Tuesday morning. The incident happened when the motorcyclist collided head-on with a sport utility vehicle on a road in St. Charles.
According to information from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at 12:14 a.m. at the intersection where Randall Road meets Red Gate Road. A 2007 model black Range Rover, driven by a woman, was moving south on Randall Road. She then turned east onto Red Gate Road. The driver of the SUV informed authorities she experienced a rear-end impact and initially thought she had hit an animal.
After exiting her vehicle, the driver discovered damage to the rear passenger side of her car. A person present at the scene informed her that the SUV had actually collided with a motorcycle.
Emergency medical services personnel located the motorcyclist, who was in a serious condition, and provided necessary medical attention. The injured individual was taken to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital. Regrettably, officials reported that he later passed away.
The motorcyclist has been identified as Angelo Bradley from St. Charles. The driver of the Range Rover was identified as Maria Fitz, aged 49, from Chicago. There were also two teenagers in the SUV at the time of the crash. It is not yet known if Maria Fitz will be charged with any offense.
