The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has officially recognized Carlos Vera, a 21-year-old resident of Hilton Head, who sadly lost his life in a traffic incident on Hilton Head Island.
Further details were unveiled Wednesday by the coroner’s office, confirming the identity of the deceased as Carlos Vera, aged 21, from Hilton Head.
According to reports from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident transpired on U.S. 278, close to Museum Street.
It occurred roughly at 1:30 a.m. on Monday, when a 2006 Toyota sedan was moving westbound and unfortunately veered off the road, colliding with a tree and tragically taking the life of the individual behind the wheel.
The official findings from the coroner’s office state that Mr. Vera passed away due to injuries resulting from impact.
