Temple authorities have confirmed the identity of the individual killed in a deadly intersection collision earlier this week. The 36-year-old victim, identified as Jeremiah Westbrook from Copperas Cove, met his untimely end in an incident that involved a motorcyclist and an automobile.
Dispatched to the scene around midday Tuesday, law enforcement officers responded to reports of a serious traffic mishap located near W FM-93 and Treiber Drive. Upon their arrival, they discovered the operator of the motorcycle had suffered critical injuries, ultimately succumbing to his wounds at the location. Initial inquiries indicated the car involved had departed the area but subsequently returned for further examination. The driver of that vehicle is currently assisting investigators with full cooperation.
To manage the situation, police cordoned off the vicinity between S 5th Street and FM-93, as well as the old 95 and FM-93 junction, keeping the public away from the site for several hours. Drivers were advised to utilize different roadways to avoid delays.
