A 33-year-old man named Kuvar Kumar was identified as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in northwest Fresno on Monday. According to investigators, the incident took place at around 6:50 p.m. on Monday in the area at the intersection of North State Street and West Acacia Avenue, which is located just south of Shaw Avenue. Law enforcement officers found Kumar at the scene with several gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the location.
Police reports indicate that Kumar was at home when the shooting happened. It is reported that his brother was also present in the residence at the time of the incident.
The authorities discovered two separate shell casings at the crime scene. This evidence has led police to believe that there were at least two suspects involved in the shooting. Officials have stated that the killing does not appear to be a random act of violence. However, no information regarding the individuals responsible has been released to the public.
