George White and Mary White die in fatal West Melbourne shooting.
Fatal West Melbourne shooting death of George White and Mary White.
A young man, identified as Jeremyah Campbell, is facing multiple criminal charges in Brevard County after being accused of fatally shooting his own grandparents. The victims of the incident, which occurred in a residential area of West Melbourne, were identified as 83-year-old George White and 81-year-old Mary White. Charges against Campbell, who is 22 years old, include the deliberate killing of his parents-in-law.
The alleged crime took place during the early part of the week. According to reports from law enforcement, Campbell reportedly fired shots inside or near the home where he lived with his grandparents. Tragically, this violence resulted not only in the deaths of the two elderly White individuals but also saw a 25-year-old woman sustain injuries during the event. Neighbors or bystanders at the scene reported hearing gunshots.
Investigators confirmed that George White was able to escape the immediate danger and flee to a nearby residence to seek assistance before succumbing to his injuries. However, the home he sought refuge in was also affected by the gunfire, leading to the injury of the young woman who was inside.
In a recent court appearance, Jeremyah Campbell appeared visibly upset and was observed having difficulty remaining standing during the proceedings. The judge presiding over the case decided against releasing Mr. Campbell on bond for the murder charges. However, bonds were set at specific monetary amounts for the other charges he faces, including $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.
