Investigators assigned to the homicide unit on Thursday formally accused Juan Ramiro Lopez-Navarro, a 50-year-old man, with the charge of criminal homicide. The accusation stems from the death of Samia G. Magzaoui, a 34-year-old woman, whose remains were located on Saturday on Knight Valley Drive, situated near Harding Place. The cause of her death was determined to be injuries resulting from sharp force and blunt force trauma.

Magzaoui and Lopez-Navarro were reportedly involved in a romantic relationship. Law enforcement officials indicated that evidence gathered through cellular data analysis and footage from video surveillance played a crucial role in linking Lopez-Navarro to the murder. According to the investigation, Lopez-Navarro is alleged to have ended the victim’s life before subsequently leaving her body beside the road.

At the time of the news, Lopez-Navarro was held in custody. His release was secured by a substantial bond amounting to $501,000.
