The Ohio State Highway Patrol has publicly identified the motorcyclist killed in a serious accident in Waterville late Thursday night as Zachary Lambert, aged 41, from Toledo. According to official reports, Lambert was operating his motorcycle when he met with fatal injuries in the collision.

Law enforcement officers reported the accident occurred at approximately 11:38 p.m. on July 24 at the intersection of Anthony Wayne Trail and Mechanic Street. Details from the investigation indicate that Lambert was traveling on Anthony Wayne Trail heading northeast on his motorcycle. A 2005 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck, driven by the 18-year-old Dustin L. Wyckoff from Haskins, was also involved in the incident while moving in the southwest direction on the same road.

Emergency medical services pronounced Lambert deceased at the accident site. Law enforcement noted that Lambert was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Wyckoff, who was operating the pickup truck, was reported to be wearing a seatbelt and suffered no reported injuries.

Following the incident, the Anthony Wayne Trail was closed to traffic for approximately two hours as authorities conducted their investigation. The roadway has since been reopened to the public. The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that this fatality investigation remains ongoing.
