Fatal Springfield shooting death of Iesha Givens
Law enforcement officials have confirmed that Iesha Givens was the person involved in a fatal shooting that took place in Springfield, Ohio on July 23, 2025.
Based on information provided by dispatch, 28-year-old Marcus Hasan contacted emergency services and reported that he was the one who fired the weapon during the incident. When officers arrived at the location, they discovered Givens in the living room, suffering from several bullet wounds. Medical examiners determined that her death was caused by gunfire.
According to documents filed in the Clark County Municipal Court, Hasan stated that the shooting occurred after an argument between him and Givens.
Hasan was taken into custody and formally charged with murder, a serious assault that resulted in death, and domestic violence-related offenses. He is currently being held at the Clark County Jail while further investigations take place.
