Fatal Wareham car crash death of Jordan Hansen
The district attorney’s office has named Raymond Cardoza, a 67-year-old from West Wareham, as the suspect in the fatal collision. He faces several charges including vehicular manslaughter, a fourth offense of operating under the influence, deserting the scene of an accident involving injury or death, and driving with a suspended license because his driving privileges were suspended.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz’s office released the charges on Saturday afternoon.
According to statements from the prosecutor’s office, Wareham police received numerous emergency calls around 5:05 p.m. on Friday involving a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Cranberry Highway near the 2628 mile marker. Emergency personnel arrived to find the motorcycle driver on the ground, suffering serious injuries.
The motorcycle driver, confirmed to be 25-year-old Jordan Hansen, was taken to the hospital but later succumbed to their injuries.
Prosecutors located Cardoza and his vehicle approximately 0.25 miles away from the crash location, as stated by Cruz. Cardoza is currently being held without bond pending court proceedings.
