Fatal Mayfield Borough motorcycle crash death of Andrew Heid
The Lackawanna County Coroner’s Office has provided details following a fatal motorcycle incident that occurred on the night of Saturday, January 21st, in Mayfield Borough, Lackawanna County.
The county coroner reported that Andrew Heid, who was 21 years old and from Peckville, suffered fatal injuries early the following morning, January 22nd. The incident happened around 2:00 a.m. on Route 107 when Mr. Heid reportedly lost control of his motorcycle.
Coroners officials stated that Mr. Heid had sustained serious head trauma and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Lackawanna County Chief Deputy Coroner Jesse VanDeusen.
The Mayfield Borough Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances of this fatal crash.
