Bryac Cole dies in fatal Desert View Highlands car crash
Fatal Desert View Highlands car crash death of Bryac Cole
A 18-year-old woman, Bryac Cole, succumbed to impact injuries following a two-car collision in the unincorporated Desert View Highlands region on July 19th. The Riverside County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed her death was due to blunt-force trauma received in the accident.
Details surrounding the fatal incident emerged from the California Highway Patrol. The collision happened around 8:45 p.m. on July 19 at the intersection of Elizabeth Lake Road and 15th Street West. Cole and an unidentified 18-year-old male were occupants of a 2023 Toyota vehicle being driven by a 17-year-old male from Palmdale. Tragically, neither driver nor passengers were secured by seat belts at the time of the crash.
According to the CHP investigation, the Toyota was moving westbound on Elizabeth Lake Road when it attempted a left turn. This maneuver placed the vehicle directly into the path of an eastbound 2018 Subaru, driven by a 19-year-old Palmdale woman who was properly belted. The resulting broadside impact proved fatal for Cole and the unidentified male passenger.
The coroner’s report detailed Cole’s untimely demise resulting from blunt-force trauma sustained during this devastating motor vehicle mishap. She was transported to a hospital where, despite medical intervention, her condition could not be stabilized.
The CHP also reported that the Subaru driver, who was wearing her seatbelt, suffered only minor injuries and was able to leave the hospital against medical advice. Her companion in the vehicle, the driver of the Toyota, also suffered minor injuries but was restrained and taken to Palmdale Regional Medical Center.
A third passenger in the Toyota, another 17-year-old female recently identified as also from Palmdale, was airlifted to Antelope Valley Medical Center due to severe injuries. Authorities stressed that seat belt usage is the single most effective factor in preventing fatalities during collisions.
The California Highway Patrol concluded that neither alcohol nor controlled substances were contributing factors in this fatal traffic incident. They are actively seeking anyone with potential information regarding the collision or the individuals involved, particularly any pre-crash activities or road conditions. Anyone with relevant knowledge is requested to contact the CHP’s Antelope Valley Area office.
