The Marshall County Coroner has officially identified the person who died in a serious highway accident in Albertville earlier today.
Law enforcement authorities were notified about an incident involving an automobile and a motorbike colliding shortly before midday. The collision took place on Alabama Highway 431 near the 3500 block.
According to reports, Charles Baker, who was 71 years old and lived in Grant, was operating the motorbike at the time of the incident. Emergency medical services pronounced the man deceased at the scene of the crash. The Albertville law enforcement department has begun a formal investigation into the incident.
