According to information released by Crime Stoppers, based in Flint and Genesee County, one person has been identified among those harmed during a period of violence that occurred in Flint.
The Flint Police Department reported that early Sunday morning, specifically the 27th of July, four separate shooting incidents took place. These resulted in two fatalities and at least eight individuals receiving injuries. The first fatality was identified as William Joseph Smith, who was 25 years old.
Crime Stoppers detailed that the shooting incidents began around 4:00 a.m. during an assembly located near Industrial and Pasadena Avenues. During this event, several individuals were struck by gunfire, including William Joseph Smith.
Crime Stoppers, the organization responsible for identifying this victim, stated that Mr. Smith later succumbed to his injuries. The group continues to seek information regarding the incident.
Crime Stoppers has announced that any information, even if provided anonymously through their website or by calling 1-800-422-JAIL (5245), which contributes to a felony arrest might be eligible for a cash award up to $2,500.
