Fatal south Minot car crash death of Duane Biewer

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has officially identified the drivers involved in the fatal traffic accident that occurred in southern Minot on Friday, August 1st.

According to an updated statement released by the state patrol, Duane Biewer, who was 73 years old and a resident of Minot, was driving a Geo Metro northbound on Highway 83. He was struck from behind by a northbound Ford Escape, piloted by 61-year-old Jennifer Hartman from Parshall.

Duane Biewer, who had not been wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision, died at the scene. His vehicle was pushed into a ditch due to the impact from the rear. The fatal accident happened before 11 a.m.

In this crash, Jennifer Hartman was buckled into her vehicle and only suffered minor injuries. The Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident, which has led to preliminary discussions about potential charges against Hartman.
