Warren County law enforcement officials have confirmed the identities of the individuals involved in the tragic incident that occurred at Eagle Lake, which authorities classify as a murder-suicide. Sheriff Martin Pace provided details about the event, noting that Steven Junior Craft, a 41-year-old man, had a documented past of personal conflicts, especially concerning his relationship with Gabrielle Summer Tatum, the 28-year-old woman. This history included multiple instances of domestic disputes directed at her.

On the night of the event, Craft engaged in a phone call with a family member and expressed his intent to harm Tatum and himself. Following this revelation, the family member contacted the authorities without delay, prompting Warren County officers to respond swiftly to the scene.

Upon their arrival, the responding deputies encountered a locked situation and were forced to break in to gain entry. Inside, they discovered both victims deceased, with signs of gunshot injuries evident, and the weapon was found resting near Craft’s body on the ground. The ongoing examination has classified the incident as a murder-suicide, and the investigation is currently active with no closure in sight.
