The death of Kristopher Hinton has been declared a result of the serious motor vehicle accident that occurred on the Arrigoni Bridge connecting the Connecticut River.
Middletown police authorities were alerted to the incident on the pedestrian pathway of the bridge on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Their arrival discovered the operator of a 50cc moped who had experienced a loss of control. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
According to the preliminary findings from the Middletown Police Department’s Traffic Unit, Mr. Hinton was observed to be traveling at excessive speed for the designated sidewalk area, contributing to his inability to manage the vehicle properly.
