The authorities have confirmed that a thirteen-year-old boy, identified as Brisley Reyes, was killed in an accident involving a motor vehicle over the weekend. This rising seventh-grader was a student at Dolan Middle School located in Stamford.

The principal of Dolan Middle School, Joseph Claps III, expressed deep sorrow to the school community. He stated, “Like so many of you, I am heartbroken, devastated and grieving for Brisley. He was a remarkably kind, gentle, and happy child with whom I had the distinct honour of interacting significantly during his time in sixth grade. The entire Dolan staff truly mourns his absence.”

Upon notification of this tragic incident, the designated city response team focused on bereavement assistance, often referred to as the Postvention Taskforce, provided support services to the impacted household. Additionally, the school district’s counseling department personnel contacted the family. The principal emphasized, “Both the Stamford municipal government and the regional public school system are dedicated to providing whatever emotional and practical support may be necessary during this exceptionally painful period.”
