Law enforcement officials in Roanoke have arrested a 16-year-old minor in relation to the weekend’s fatal shooting incident. Police authorities have elected not to release the minor’s identity. The minor faces charges including second-degree murder for the death of Isaac Lamont Cunningham, who was 43 years old.
The fatal shooting occurred early Sunday morning, approximately 12:30 a.m., located in the 200 block of 12th Street SW. Cunningham was discovered deceased outside of a motor vehicle in that area.
This marks the second individual apprehended by authorities in connection with the three separate shootings that took place during the recent weekend period.
Separately, a 32-year-old male was arrested earlier on Saturday in relation to a shooting incident on Hunt Avenue.
