Investigators have confirmed that Leroy Wedge, a 43-year-old resident of Upper Marlboro, died as a result of a fatal collision on Saturday morning. The incident occurred in Prince George’s County.

According to Maryland State Police, Mr. Wedge was killed after being hit by a vehicle while he was crossing Maryland Route 202 near Wood Branch Court. The fatal accident took place at approximately 6:20 a.m.

The authorities are seeking a vehicle that resembles a 2012 or 2014 GMC Terrain or Chevrolet Equinox. The operator of this vehicle failed to stop at the scene and has not been identified. No one has been arrested in connection with this case.

This type of accident led to the temporary closure of Maryland Route 202, disrupting traffic for more than three hours.
