Around 2 a.m. on Monday, August 4, officers were dispatched to the Blackhawk Park parking lot at 101 15th Avenue. The initial call reported someone had been shot, allegedly during an argument. Upon their arrival, emergency responders discovered Lewis Brown III lying on the ground, visibly injured from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but despite medical intervention, he was pronounced deceased.
