The Winnebago County Coroner has identified the deceased motorcyclist as Ricky Kruse, aged 45 and from Rockford. The incident occurred on Friday evening, August 1st.
According to preliminary findings, Mr. Kruse was operating his motorcycle near the junction of Ninth Street and 20th Avenue around 6:30 p.m. He was involved in a collision with a pickup truck. Law enforcement located Mr. Kruse on the ground with substantial injuries.
Regrettably, Mr. Kruse succumbed to his injuries at a regional healthcare facility. The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office has formally recorded this outcome.
