Fatal Chihuahua car crash death of Yanin Campos
A former contestant on the cooking competition “MasterChef Mexico” and a widely recognized TikTok personality has tragically passed away following a collision with a parked vehicle during the past weekend, according to official reports.
Officials from Mexico’s Secretariat of Public Security provided details to a local news source, stating that Campos, who was 38 years old, was driving her sport utility vehicle in her hometown of Chihuahua at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday. She lost control of the car and crashed.
Further information indicates that she was transported to a nearby medical facility but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries two days later. Investigators are examining whether speeding contributed to the accident.
Campos had previously earned a sixth-place finish on the reality show in 2018. Her younger sibling, Raúl, shared the devastating news on social media, addressing loved ones with a heartfelt message about his sister’s unexpected passing and mentioned arrangements for a memorial service.
Before her involvement in the culinary contest, she also competed in a sequel production titled “MasterChef Mexico: La Revancha” in 2019. Following that, she transitioned into creating lifestyle-focused content for the platform TikTok, amassing a substantial following of 100,000 users.
