Tragically, John T. Simpson, a 27-year-old from Elmira Heights, lost his life in a collision between a motorcycle and another car near Grand Central Avenue and E 14th Street.
The Elmira Heights Police Department confirmed on Thursday that the individual killed was John T. Simpson. His death resulted from this incident that occurred on July 22nd. According to an official statement released on August 7th, Mr. Simpson was operating the motorcycle involved in the accident.
He was not alone on the bike, as a passenger sustained injuries but has since completed their hospital stay.
The ongoing investigation by the Elmira Heights Police is focused solely on the crash itself and does not yet include further information about the other vehicle’s driver.
