Fatal Walker County car crash death of Joshua K. Leblanc
State officials reported the incident began at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, occurring on Hill Road near Drummond Switch Cut Off Road, about two miles south of Empire. Joshua K. Leblanc, identified by Alabama State Troopers as the driver, was from Huntsville.
According to a statement from Senior Trooper Gregory Corble, Leblanc’s vehicle, a Tesla Model 3, departed the roadway, collided with a guardrail and various trees before igniting. The trooper indicated Leblanc was pronounced deceased at the accident site. His remains were transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for official confirmation.
