Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed that 29-year-old Mitchell Gray, a man initially sought for murder involvement, has been identified among the fatalities at the tragic property located on Beatrice Town Line Road. Gray passed away from smoke inhalation within the residence that had suffered a severe fire.
The ongoing investigation, led by OPP Sgt. Joe Brisebois, revealed that the other two individuals found inside the residence on Friday were Paul Gray, aged sixty, and Anita Gray, aged fifty-nine. Post-mortem examination results determined that both parents suffered fatal injuries caused by gunshot wounds.
The incident began with police receiving a disturbance call at approximately 8:00 PM on Friday, alerting authorities to the presence of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered the home rapidly engulfed in flames and issued a shelter-in-place advisory before identifying the deceased outside first. Subsequent forensic analysis confirmed the identities of the occupants inside, including Mitchell Gray.
