Fatal Greenville shooting death of Derrick Davis
Greenville law enforcement personnel were dispatched to the 3500 block of Lee Street on the evening of Saturday, August 9, following auditory reports prompting an urgent response. Upon their arrival, emergency medical technicians evaluated 47-year-old Derrick Davis, who had sustained a gunshot wound. Davis was immediately transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center for critical care; however, despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries later that evening.
The Greenville Police Department is actively pursuing leads and conducting surveillance to identify the individual responsible for this violent act. At this time, authorities have not released any additional details regarding the incident or the suspect.
