Fatal Cleveland stabbing death of Malik Williams.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office officially identified the deceased young man, who succumbed to injuries from a stabbing, as Malik Williams. He was reported to be 25 years of age.
Cleveland law enforcement officials reported receiving a dispatch to a disturbance in the vicinity of the 18700 block of Mohawk Avenue, a neighborhood situated in the city’s North Shore Collinwood area. This call was received shortly after 11:30 p.m. that Friday.
Emergency medical services personnel from Cleveland EMS provided medical attention to Williams and transported him to University Hospitals for treatment. Despite the medical intervention, Williams did not survive his injuries and later passed away at the hospital.
Cleveland police subsequently apprehended Delcresha Box, a 46-year-old woman. Her arrest took place at the exact location where the stabbing is believed to have occurred. During a recent court appearance, Box appeared in Cleveland Municipal Court. She formally entered a plea of not guilty to the charges related to the incident. A significant bail amount of five hundred thousand dollars was established by the court.
