Austin Pagan dies in fatal Queensbury car crash
Fatal Queensbury car crash death of Austin Pagan
Law enforcement officials reported that one individual has lost their life and two others sustained injuries as a result of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Queensbury on Sunday. The accident took place on State Route 9L.
Responding officers from the New York State Police arrived at the scene at approximately 11:06 a.m. An ongoing examination revealed that the crash occurred when a southbound sedan, which was turning left into a business, was struck head-on by a southbound motorcycle, which had passed the car on the left.
State Police confirmed that the motorcycle driver, Austin Pagan, a 18-year-old resident of Queensbury, was thrown from his vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Tragically, authorities declared that Pagan did not survive his injuries.
Additionally, two individuals who were walking near the business in the parking area were reportedly struck by the motorcycle and its rider. These two people were transported to a nearby hospital, where medical staff assessed their injuries as not immediately life-threatening.
Further investigation into the causes of the Queensbury crash is currently underway. State Police indicated that the driver of the involved car has been working with investigators and, as of now, no formal charges have been submitted.
