The Austin Police Department has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life in a one-car accident in the southern part of the city last Friday. Brown, who was 28 years old, was pronounced deceased at the scene after his car collided with a utility pole. The collision took place at 4:04 a.m. on Friday morning in the 100 block of Slaughter Lane.
Tragically, he passed away just four days before what would have been his 29th birthday. Police officials stated that this incident is being treated as the city’s 59th fatal road accident in 2025, resulting in 63 fatalities so far this year. Comparing data from the same timeframe in 2024, authorities noted there were 51 fatal crashes with 54 deaths.
