**Fatal Anderson County shooting death of Demone Devaux**
The Anderson County Coroner has officially identified a male individual whose passing occurred after a week following his discovery due to a wound from gunfire.
According to official reports, emergency dispatchers received a call at 11:30 p.m. on August 10th regarding a person shot on North Main Street. Law enforcement located one male individual lying on the road with signs of a gunshot injury.
He was transported to AnMed Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 4:21 p.m. on Sunday. The coroner has named him as 36-year-old Demone Devaux.
The coroner determined that the death was the result of a homicide. Additionally, the coroner has stated that this event is isolated and does not present a threat to the general public.
Both the Anderson County Coroner’s Office and the Anderson Police Department are actively continuing their probe into this incident.
