Fatal Philadelphia shooting death of Direll Skipworth
Law enforcement is seeking a man they claim fired a weapon during a weekend disagreement, resulting in a death.
The fatal incident occurred around 9:29 p.m. on Sunday on North Gratz Street in the 1500 block area.
Emergency responders were dispatched to that location and discovered a 42-year-old man with serious wounds caused by gunfire, affecting his chest, back, and leg.
This individual, confirmed to be Direll Skipworth, was transported to Temple University Hospital. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at approximately 9:54 p.m.
Investigators discovered the shooting was linked to a personal conflict between the victim and his girlfriend. It is reported that the alleged shooter is connected to the girlfriend, specifically identified as her parent.
