Law enforcement agencies have officially identified the deceased man who was killed in a violent weekend incident in COLUMBIA.
According to reports from the COLUMBIA Police Department, officers arrived at the scene located in the 900 block of VISTA TOWERS DRIVE at 1 p.m. local time. The authorities stated that the injured individual was transported to a medical facility, but tragically, his passing was confirmed by the Richland County Coroner, Naida Rutherford, later that evening, approximately 8:30 p.m.
The victim has been identified as ISAIAH LEE, a 40-year-old resident of COLUMBIA. The police force additionally reported that an 18-year-old individual named KAI E. MURRAY was apprehended at the location and subsequently faced charges including murder and unlawful possession of a weapon during a violent offense. It was also disclosed that this suspect is connected to the deceased.
Further legal documents indicate that during a court hearing on Monday, no bail was set for KAI E. MURRAY. His anticipated next court date is scheduled for October 31.
