Fatal Huntington shooting death of Michael Christian
The Huntington Police Department has identified a man killed in Tuesday morning’s shooting incident in Huntington.
Cabell County dispatchers reported the shooting occurred shortly before 9:45 a.m. in the 500 block of 6th Avenue in Huntington. According to the Huntington Police Chief Phil Watkins, officers discovered a male victim, Michael Christian, aged 60 and from Huntington, suffering from gunshot wounds. The police stated that medical personnel pronounced Christian dead at the scene.
The Huntington Police Department is currently investigating the shooting, believing initial reports suggest it was an isolated incident.
