Officials in Sand Springs confirmed the identity of the deceased individual killed in the accident. The 41-year-old woman, identified as Amanda Ramirez, was originally from Tulsa.
SAND SPRINGS authorities reported a serious traffic incident involving a vehicle that rolled over on U.S. Highway 412. This happened on Tuesday afternoon near the intersection with North 129th West Avenue.
According to local law enforcement, the crash occurred at approximately 1:21 p.m. The damaged vehicle ended up in a grassy ditch located beside the highway, specifically between U.S. 412 and Wekiwa Road on the eastern side.
Emergency response teams found both people inside the overturned car. Both were thrown from the vehicle during the sudden impact. Medical personnel provided emergency care but ultimately determined the female passenger had fatal injuries.
The male occupant sustained injuries to his head. He received prompt medical treatment and was released from the hospital later that day.
Traffic flow was temporarily disrupted as crews worked to secure the crash site. They closed the eastbound lanes but managed to reopen them after addressing the situation.
Police authorities stated that both individuals involved in the incident were connected to the Tulsa region. However, they decided against releasing the identity of the male passenger at this time.
